Family members of gangster Anmol Bishnoi, who has been deported from the US, has urged the Centre to ensure adequate security for him, fearing that he might be on the target of rival gangs and others.
“The family wants explicit protective measures so that Anmol isn’t harmed by rival gangs or others who might want to target him,” said Ramesh Bishnoi, the gangster's cousin, while talking to The Tribune from Dutaranwali village in Fazilka.
Ramesh said the family had come to know from media that rival gang members could harm him. Ramesh, who is also the vice-president of All-India Jeev Raksha Bishnoi Sabha, which is headed by jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, emphasised that the community, known for protection of wildlife, particularly black bucks, believes in rule of the law.
“The Bishnoi community will abide by the judgement pronounced by court in NCP leader Baba Saddique's murder and the Salman Khan’s house shooting case. The family is ready to extend every support to the government in the ongoing investigation, which will eventually reveal the truth," said Ramesh.
