Moga, June 16
Former State Information Commissioner Nidharak Singh Brar today joined hands with rebel Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa.
In 1984, a couple of days before the Operation Bluestar, Brar was arrested by the police after an encounter with the BSF at Bibi Kahan Kaur Gurdwara in Moga. After coming out of the jail, Brar joined the youth wing of the SAD and remained associated with the party for two decades. — TNS
