“Some relatives of patients misbehaved with the security guard at the Sohal Patti isolation centre after he prevented them from taking away an oxygen cylinder. The police have registered a case against two persons. Patients’ relatives should not enter the isolation centre,” said the SDM.

Civil Surgeon Dr Harinderjit Singh said following a high number of patients at the Sohal Patti centre, more staff had been deputed. “We are working to increase the supply of oxygen. Work is on to set up an oxygen plant in the district,” said DC Tej Pratap Singh Phoolka. — TNS
