Faridkot civic body elections postponed

The elections to the post of the senior and junior vice-presidents of the Faridkot Municipal Council have been postponed indefinitely.

A meeting to conduct the poll was called today at 11 am on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, but it was later deferred without issuing a new date.

The Congress councillors, including Faridkot Municipal Council president Narinder Pal Singh Ninda, and 16 elected members were present at the venue. However, councillors from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) did not attend the meeting.
