Faridkot jail inmate dies by suicide

, the jail authorities have lodged an FIR against his wife Paramjit Kaur. Jail Superintendent Iqbal Singh Dhaliwal said Surjit had blamed his wife for driving him to suicide. Jail officials said Surjit, who was out on parole, was arrested again under the NDPS Act. He was lodged in the Faridkot jail on June 18. — TNS
