Farmers agreed to lift blockade from five spots during a three-hour meeting of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) with Food and Civil Supplies Minister Lal Singh Kataruchak and Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian.

Sarwan Singh Pandher, coordinator, Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, Manjit Singh Rai of the BKU (Doaba) and Surjit Singh Phul, head, BKU (Krantikari) represented farmers during a meeting with ADGP (Law and Order) SPS Parmar and DIG Satinder Singh. Farm leaders said cuts implied on farmers would be reimbursed by the state government.
