Hundreds of farmers began a five-day “pucca morcha” under the banner of BKU (Ugrahan) outside the district administrative complex (DC office) here today.

Their demands include a pro-farmer new agriculture policy by the state government, complete waiver of farmers’ loans, Rs 10 lakh compensation to the families of farmers who ended life by suicide and jobs to family members of the farmers who lost their lives during the Delhi Kisan Andolan.
