Chandigarh, October 27
Taking serious note of the repeated statements made by Capt Amarinder Singh regarding contesting the 2022 elections with the Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt), party leader Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa the ex-CM should refrain from making such baseless statements.
Dhindsa said in the press conference held by the former CM, the Captain himself admitted that he never held any discussion or meeting with him on the subject.
Dhindsa said the issue of elections could be addressed later, but first the issues of the farmers should be resolved.
He said Captain Amarinder had failed in ensuring justice in the sacrilege cases and resolve other issues.
Referring to the forthcoming Assembly elections, Dhindsa said the ever-changing situation in the politics of Punjab showed that no single party might get a majority in 2022. No one would be able to form a government without the support of SAD (Sanyukt), he claimed.
