Fatehgarh Sahib needs increased train connectivity: MP to Railway Minister

Fatehgarh Sahib MP Amar Singh met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and presented him with a charter of demands for the constituency. He said there was a need to increase train connectivity for the Fatehgarh Sahib constituency. He said trains that connect religious centres such as Haridwar, Mathura and Patna, among others, should halt at the stations in Fatehgarh Sahib.
He had a detailed discussion with the minister regarding the need to improve passenger access at Khanna station. They also had a conversation about the need to start work on the Doraha railway overbridge, which was approved by the Railways in March. The MP apprised the minister of poor passenger amenities and the lack of cleanliness on the Sachkhand Express.
The Railway Minister assured the minister that he would look into all the matters raised at the meeting on priority.
