The SAD(A), led by its president Simranjit Singh Mann, organised a Miri Piri conference during the Shaheedi Sabha.
Though no political issues were raised, Mann said when the Sahibzadas raised their voice against oppression, they were martyred. In the same way, his party had always been fighting injustice in a peaceful manner without religious discrimination, he said.
He called upon the Sikh community to raise their voice against oppression. The party passed 12 resolutions demanding action against those responsible for murdering Sikhs abroad. The party expressed concern over the deteriorating health of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dalewal and urged the Centre to agree to the demands of the farmers.
