Five IAS, including Markfed MD Girish Dayalan, transferred in Punjab

One PCS and one IFS officer also transferred

In a late-night development, the Punjab Government transferred five IAS officers, including Markfed Managing Director Girish Dayalan, one PCS and one IFS officer with immediate effect.

Dayalan’s posting has come in the midst of the wheat procurement season. The charge of Good Governance and Information Technology Department has also been taken from him and given to Amit Talwar. Kumar Amit, Special Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been given the additional charge of MD, Markfed .

Basant Garg, the Secretary, Agriculture, has been given the additional charge of Nodal Officer of Anti-Drug Campaign. Till now, this charge was held by Rahul Tiwari.

Meanwhile, IFS officer Churchil Kumar has been replaced by another IFS officer Kalpana K in the School Education Department. PCS officer G. S. Sodhi has been posted as Director of School Education (Secondary), after his repatriation from the Chandigarh Administration.
