Former Punjab MLA Sant Ajit Singh passes away at 82

Former Punjab MLA Sant Ajit Singh died at Max Hospital in Mohali on Tuesday following a brief illness.

He was 82.

He was admitted to the hospital last week following a cardiac disease.

Sant Ajit Singh was elected from Anandpur Sahib-Ropar Assembly constituency on a Shiromani Akali Dal ticket in 2007.

His cremation will be held at Nehol ka village near Kurali on Thursday.
