The Punjab residents were identified as Jatinder Singh of Nabha in Patiala; Maninder Dutt from Jalandhar; Jugraj Singh and Harpreet Singh from Batala.

A top police officer said the Indians deported from Panama arrived in New Delhi via Istanbul on a Turkish Airlines flight. After landing at New Delhi, the four deportees were brought to Amritsar, where they were received by police personnel from their respective districts and sent back home.
