Ludhiana, December 11

The court of Judicial Magistrate Harsimranjit Kaur has taken a grim view of summoning a police file related to the rape case against Lok Insaaf Party chief and Atam Nagar MLA Simarjit Singh Bains by the DIG, Faridkot Range.

Passing an order, the court observed: “This court has failed to appreciate how the DIG, Faridkot Range, or the Director, Bureau of Investigation, Punjab, Chandigarh, is conducting further probe into the matter without the permission of the court, particularly when the chargsheet has already been filed.” — OC
