The local city police have booked gangster Harry Chatha and his two unidentified associates for firing at the owner of an immigration firm when he was on way to Noordi village. The victim, Anmol Preet Singh, said he and his security guard Baljit Singh was on their way to Noordi Pandori Gola in a car to see his relative when two motorcycle-borne armed men suddenly appeared from the back and fired at his vehicle. However, he escaped unhurt.

Anmol said some time back, he received a threat call from gangster Harry Chatha, who had demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from him. He said the assailants could be members of his gang. ASI Charanjit Singh said besides Harry Chatha, his two unidentified assailants have been booked under Section 125 of the BNS and Section 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act.
