Gangster hurt in encounter
A fierce encounter took place between the police and gangsters in Mansa district.
As per information, a gangster was injured in the firing. The assailants opened fire on CIA in-charge Jagdish Sharma and other personnel, following which the police retaliated.
The clash occurred when the police took Jassi Puncture — arrested in connection with the recent shooting outside the house of Sidhu Moosewala’s close associate Pargat Singh — to seize weapons at Ubha village in Mansa. During that exercise, an encounter took place between the police officials and Jassi.
In the exchange of fire, Jassi was injured, following which he was admitted to a hospital.
