The Chairman of the Moga Improvement Trust, Vinod Bansal, a businessman by profession, has increased his political activities and announced that he is eying a Congress ticket from the Moga constituency in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

Bansal was once a close friend of Congress MLA Harjot Kamal, but after the ‘poor’ performance of the ruling party in the last Municipal Corporation elections, Bansal distanced himself from the MLA and started projecting himself as a candidate for the Assembly elections among locals. — TNS
