The intensity of the fire required four fire tenders to extinguish the blaze. MLA Brahm Shankar Jipa, Mayor Surinder Kumar and other local leaders arrived at the scene to assess the situation.

The cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit, though investigations are ongoing.
