The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday transferred its Registrar Vigilance Kamaljit Lamba to Jalandhar as District and Sessions Judge-cum-Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal. Lamba is the co-in-law of Punjab Deputy Inspector-General of Police (Ropar Range) Harcharan Singh Bhullar, who is presently in judicial custody in a corruption case registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

According to available information, the transfer is part of a routine administrative reshuffle as Lamba has completed his three-year tenure in the position. He was appointed Registrar Vigilance in November 2022. The transfer comes as part of a broader round of administrative postings of judicial officers ordered by the high court – including District and Sessions Judges – across Punjab and Haryana.
