Chandigarh, August 30
Ten days after rebel Congress minister Sukhjinder Randhawa demanded the removal of the Punjab Principal Secretary-Home, besides DGP-Vigilance and the state Advocate General over the former DGP Sumedh Saini arrest fiasco, the Punjab Government today replaced Home Secretary Anurag Aggarwal with Anruag Verma.
The move is seen as an attempt by the Capt Amarinder Singh camp to placate rebel party leaders, who have grouped with the Navjot Singh Sidhu camp.
