The district has been topped the state in prompt delivery of public services at Sewa Kendras. The backlog of application as Sewa Kendras in the district has been only 0.05%, the lowest in the state.
Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said in the past one year, as many as 3,09,333 applications were received at the Sewa Kendras in the district and 3,04,282 of these had been disposed of. The success was the result of continuous efforts of the district administration, added Mittal.
The Deputy Commissioner said apart from this, the rate of ‘send-back’ cases in the district was only 0.49%, also the lowest in the state. The DC congratulated officials and employees over the achievement and motivated them to maintain the lead.
District IT Manager Karamjit Singh said about 440 services concerning various departments were being provided to citizens through 28 service centres in Hoshiarpur district. The government had been adding new services from time to time for the convenience of citizens.
He said the service centres located at the District Administrative Complex, the SDM offices in Mukerian and Garhshankar, and Tehsil Complexes in Dasuya and Tanda remained open even on Sundays. Apart from this, citizens could also get the services delivered at their doorstep by dialling ‘1076’.
