The Bathinda Police on Monday demolished an illegally constructed house of a jailed drug trafficker.

Bathinda Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amneet Kondal said the property situated in Bir Talab village belonged to Suraj. The structure was constructed on a government land, said the officer.

“Suraj, who is currently in a jail, has been involved in multiple drug-related offenses, with nine cases registered against him. His brother has also been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act,” the SSP told reporters.

The SSP urged the public to remain vigilant and report any drug-related activity they encounter in their vicinity.
