The Nagar Kirtans and Prabhat Pheris were organised under the auspices of the Gurdwara Singh Sabha Parbhandak Committees, Banda Singh Bahadur Welfare Society and Kalgidhar Federation. In a display of communal harmony, members and office-bearers from local Hindu and Muslim organisations joined in, welcoming the devotees and organising langars for the participants.

Some organisers incorporated national flags and symbols of the armed forces into the processions. As the Nagar Kirtans passed through various areas, police personnel, supervised by SSP Gagan Ajit Singh, paid homage to the holy Guru Granth Sahib at police stations and other police premises along the route.

A large number of vehicles, including Panj Pyaras, Gatka parties, and school bands, accompanied the processions. The carefully chosen routes ensured that the Nagar Kirtans passed by religious sites of various sects, emphasising the spirit of inclusivity.
