The City-1 police in Abohar claimed to have solved the mystery shrouding the murder of a Jammu Basti resident with the arrest of his wife, her friend and a hired man.

Senior Superintendent of Police Gurmeet Singh said the City-1 police station was informed that a man, identified as Kuldeep Singh Deepu, of Jammu Basti here was found killed in a street located near Guru Kripa Ashram.

Investigation revealed Deepu had married Shimla Rani of Tahliwala village about 14 years ago and the couple had two children. It came to light that she was allegedly in an illicit relations with a man of Chak Radheywala village, and this relationship had triggered tension between the couple.

His mother Santo Bai said that Deepu had left home saying he had an urgent work but did not return. His body was found with injury marks.
