New retreat ceremony timings

Amritsar: The timings of the beating retreat ceremony at the Attari-Wagah joint checkpost have been changed from Saturday. It now starts at 6 pm and culminates at 6.30 pm. Earlier, the timings were 6.30 pm to 7 pm.

Man tries to cross over to Pak

Ferozepur: The BSF has nabbed a man who was trying to cross the Sutlej and head towards Pakistan. He has been identified as Laddu of Hajra Singh Wala village of Ferozepur. He was caught near the Pacadiyan border outpost and has been booked under the Indian Passport Act and the Foreigners Act.

3 held for robbing van driver

Abohar: The Khuian Sarwar police have arrested three persons for allegedly robbing a pickup driver of Rs 20,000. The suspects were identified as Kartik, Amandeep and Sandeep Kumar of Dalmir Khera village. Complainant Indraj of Sadhuwali had stated that he was robbed at Daulatpura village on Monday.
