Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Police on Tuesday detained social activist Lakha Sidhana and actor-director Amitoj Maan. They have been detained ahead of their call to hold a protest outside the Vidhan Sabha on the issue of pollution in Ludhiana’s Buddha Nullah.

Fatehgarh Sahib: The three-day annual Urs organised in memory of Sufi Saint Sheikh Ahmad Farooqui Sirhindi concluded with religious ceremonies at Rauza Sharif here on Tuesday. High Commissioner of Pakistan Saad Ahmed Waraich and other officials also paid obeisance at the shrine.
