An Indian-American doctor with roots in Punjab, Swaiman Singh, who had played a pivotal role in offering healthcare facilities to the farmers during the 2020-21 Kisan Andolan, has urged politicians across party lines, farm union leaders and commoners to leave aside their differences and unite on the issue of legal guarantee on the minimum support price (MSP).

Sharing a video message, Dr Singh said the implementation of MSP could usher in a new year of prosperity in Punjab, where the youth did not have to leave the country for a better future abroad. He said the health of Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is on fast unto death for past 40 days, had deteriorated badly and it was really important to save his life.

Dallewal is being healthcare services while the leader is fasting to press the government for the implementation of MSP.
