She was taken into custody from the residence of singer Raftaar Kaur, sister of renowned Punjabi playback singer, actress and songwriter Afsana Khan, at Badal village in Muktsar district.

A senior Vigilance Bureau officer said the investigation revealed that Amandeep had accumulated assets worth around Rs 31 lakh more than her known sources of income between 2018 and 2025.

Regarding her relationship with Raftaar Kaur, the officer said, “Both Amandeep and Raftaar are friends.”

Meanwhile, Vigilance Bureau DSP Kulwant Singh said, “A case under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against Amandeep at the Vigilance Bureau police station in Bathinda.”

The arrest follows an earlier case in which Amandeep was arrested after 17.71 gm of heroin (non-commercial quantity) was allegedly seized from her jeep during a checking by the police on the Badal road in Bathinda on April 2. She was subsequently dismissed from the police service, and the vehicle was impounded. She was presently out on bail in that case.

Amandeep, who hails from Chak Fateh Singh Wala village in Bathinda district, was last posted at the Police Lines in Bathinda. During her nearly 14-year career, she was transferred 31 times and suspended twice. She did security duty for over a month at slain singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu Moosewala’s residence, but was transferred for allegedly not discharging her duties properly.

Known for her flamboyant lifestyle and Instagram reels, Amandeep enjoys considerable popularity on social media, with nearly 34,400 followers on Instagram.

After Amandeep’s arrest today, Raftaar Kaur also left the residence. She told the media that Amandeep had been known to her for over a year.
