PSEB Chairman Dr Amarpal Singh informed that the registration process for the Olympiad will open online from August 18 and continue till October 31, 2025. Interested students can register on the official portal: https://olympiad.pseb.ac.in/, which will go live on August 18.

For primary group (8–12 years), registration fee has been reduced from Rs 100 to Rs 50, while for middle group (12–14 years) and secondary group (14–17 years), it would be Rs 100. Students desirous to participate from across the globe will have to pay a fee of Rs 800.

Unlike the 2023 and 2024 editions, where questions were based only on prepared content, this year’s Olympiad will also draw questions from age-appropriate syllabi. This will ensure students remain connected with their academic curriculum while preparing for the Olympiad.

In another significant change, the examination will be conducted in both online and offline modes for the first time. Previously, it was held only online.

Winners will receive cash prizes, and schools and teachers with the highest number of registrations and positions at the district level will also be specially honoured.

More than 35,000 students participated in the last two editions of the Olympiad, and the Board expects even greater participation this year.

Earlier, a special conference on the theme ‘How the Punjabi Mother Tongue Can Become the Heartbeat of the Youth’ was organised, which received overwhelming response from teachers and students alike.
