Chandigarh, November 12
Giving a major relief to people who have purchased plots or buildings in unauthorised colonies, Housing and Urban Development department today decided no-objection certificate (NOC) is required for getting sale deed registered in such colonies that came into existence before September 8, 1995.
Housing and Urban Development Minister Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria instructed officials concerned to take a decision on pending applications of NOCs received under the policy issued in 2018 within two months positively.
However, for plots or buildings purchased by way of sale deed, power of attorney, sale agreement or lease in case of commercial built up between September 9, 1995 and March 19, 2018, NOC only for the purpose of allowing sale deed would be issued immediately by the authority concerned on the basis of self-declaration signed jointly by the seller and the buyer and on payment of regularisation fee.
Self-declaration shall include that plot or building does not violate the provisions or conditions of the policy issued by the department in 2018 for regularisation of plots falling in unauthorised colonies, he added. — TNS
