Jalalabad to get 2nd Covid care centre

With 39 Covid-positive persons, most of them Nanded pilgrims, accommodated in the 100-bed isolation centre in Jalalabad, 60 km from here, the district administration has decided to develop second such centre here.
As desired by the SSP, the administration will also set up a separate quarantine facility in Arorvansh Dharamshala for police personnel since they come in direct contact with returnees from other districts and states.
SDM Jaspal Singh Brar said the complex of Maa Saraswati College of Pharmacy located near the city bypass on Seetogunno Road was to be developed as Covid care centre with ultra-modern facilities to accommodate 200 patients.
Brar said concerted efforts were being made to deal with Coviid cases and to treat and take better care of the infected patients, it was considered fit to develop another centre here.
