Journalist dies of infection

Ferozepur: Veteran journalist Rattan Lal (49), working in the border region, has died of Covid-19. He was undergoing treatment at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital at Faridkot. Lal was associated with the electronic media for several years. He also remained treasurer of the local Press Club. Rattan is survived by his wife and two sons. OC

113 units of blood collected

Abohar: With blood banks running low on stock and increasing Covid cases in Sriganganagar, the management of Gurdwara Baba Deep Singh organised a blood donation camp at a short notice. Gurdwara president Harpreet Singh Bhatia said 113 units of blood was collected by a team of Purohit Blood Bank. OC
