Kaur held discussions with judicial officers and legal aid panel lawyers, emphasising the importance of settling as many cases as possible in the upcoming National Lok Adalat, scheduled for March 8. She urged officials to actively encourage litigants to opt for amicable resolutions and make the most of Lok Adalat’s efficient process.

The Secretary also stressed raising public awareness about the advantages of Lok Adalat, particularly in resolving civil and petty criminal cases without the lengthy delays of traditional litigation. She instructed officials to enhance outreach programs and ensure that those eligible for free legal aid receive proper support.
