International kabaddi player, realtor and drug case accused Ranjit Singh Jeeta Maur died following a heart attack late last evening. He breathed his last at a private hospital in Jalandhar.
Hailing from Kala Sanghian village in Kapurthala, Maur had been unwell for the past few months. He also had difficulty in walking.
With investment by some bigwigs, he had developed 70-80 colonies in Doaba and Majha. His luxurious lifestyle and fleet of imported cars had earned him many friends and business partners, most of whom were politicians and senior police officials. But most of them gradually parted ways after he got arrested by the special task force (STF) in an alleged drug case in February 2022. He was also involved in over 30 criminal and civil cases.
Maur had moved to London in his school days and received training in kabaddi from his paternal uncle Mahinder Singh Maur. His wife and four sons are also settled in London.
