Kamboj runs liquor mafia, Capt protects him: Cheema

Slamming the Congress government for a fake liquor factory unearthed in Rajpura, Patiala, last week, Aam Aadmi Party leader Harpal Singh Cheema today said it was under the leadership of CM Capt Amarinder Singh that Congress MLA Hardial Singh Kamboj was running a liquor mafia in the Excise Department.
Cheema said the unearthing of the fake liquor racket was nothing but fresh evidence of another illegal factory being run under the nose of MLA Kamboj.
“Capt Amarinder, who had promised to stop drug abuse in Punjab after swearing by the Gutka Sahib, has himself taken charge of drug smuggling with his legislators working as ‘mafias’ on his behest,” he said.
Cheema said Patiala had not seen any major project in the past four years, but had become a hub of illicit liquor. “All this is mushrooming under the patronage of Capt Amarinder and other Congress leaders. It is only because of the CM that no action has been taken till now against Kamboj and Madan Lal in the matter,” he said.
Cheema said a delegation of AAP leaders would meet the Governor next week regarding abetting of drug traffickers by Capt Amarinder and his MLAs.
