Kejriwal in Amritsar after Vipassana
AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal and his wife Sunita Kejriwal arrived here on Saturday after completing a 10-day Vipassana meditation session in Hoshiarpur.
Kejriwal and his wife, along with Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, will pay obeisance at the Golden Temple, Durgiana Temple and Valmiki Tirath Sthal on Sunday.
Kejriwal and his wife also visited the home of BJP leader and former state minister Lakshmi Kanta Chawla in the Tunda Talab area. They spent around half an hour there.
She brought to Kejriwal’s notice the lobbing of a hand grenade at a temple and a man hitting people with a rod in the Golden Temple complex on Friday.
She said Kejriwal responded positively to the demand of improving law and order.
Earlier, Kejriwal left Dhamma Dhajj in Hoshiarpur with a truncated convoy of five cars, days after the size of his cavalcade drew criticism.
Meanwhile, Kejriwal’s close aide Bibhav Kumar concluded his four-day visit to Nangal on Saturday.
He had served as an OSD to Kejriwal when the AAP national convener was the Delhi CM. Kumar was earlier arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly assaulting AAP Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal.
He stayed at Satluj Sadan maintained by Bhakra Beas Management Board. According to sources, Kumar’s visit was kept a low key affair.
