Khalsa Aid India, 3 office-bearers resign over flood aid

Davinderjeet Singh, head of the Khalsa Aid India, along with three office-bearers, resigned from their positions, accusing its overseas headquartered management of not properly utilising “dasvandh” (donations) gathered for flood victims.

Other office-bearers who resigned are Gurwinder Singh, Kamalpreet Singh and Param Mohabbat Pal Singh.

Referring to the 2025 Punjab flood relief, he asked the Khalsa Aid and other supporting chapters that appealed for donations to declare the total amount raised globally.

Addressing mediapersons here on Wednesday, he asked the donors to question Ravi Singh about the details of the investments made during the recent floods in Punjab and claimed that most of the aid remained non-invested till date.

He alleged that UK-based founder and CEO Ravi Singh’s constant interference in field operations and reluctance to empower the India team had resulted in operational paralysis. “There is no independent board, no accountability structure, and every major decision is dictated by one person sitting thousands of miles away,” he said, adding that despite repeated requests, Ravi Singh did not visit Punjab even once to take stock of the floods in Punjab.
