The Kisan Vijay Utsav Yatra, being taken out by the Gramin Kisan Mazdoor Samiti (GKS) that started from Shahjahanpur border, concluded at historic Gurdwara Buddha Johad in Dabla village in Sriganganagar late last evening.
A large number of farmers of the area were present at the gurdwara on the occasion. Ardas for “chardi kala” of farmers and other people were performed. Farmer leaders expressed gratitude to all people who contributed directly and indirectly to the farmers’ movement.
GKS convener Ranjit Singh Raju, joint-convener Vikramjit Singh Shergill, Amarveer Singh, Harjinder Mann, Sukhjinder Nijjar and Legal Advisor Harvinder Singh Gill were leading the procession that passed through Chak 14-PS, Chak 3-TK, Chak 2-TK, Muklawa, Chak 32-ML, Ridmalsar, Baranwali and Dabla village. The procession was welcomed at the Bishnoi Temple and flowers were showered on the way.
In the nationwide movement organised by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha against the three agricultural laws, a number of farmer organisations, including the GKS, had played an active role for their repealing.
