In an apparent political opening for gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is named in 85 criminal cases in Punjab, Mumbai and Canada, has been unanimously elected youth wing head of the All-India Jeev Raksha Bishnoi Sabha.

A meeting was held in Lawrence’s Dutaranwali village in which the decision was taken unanimously. In this regard, a letter was officially released by Sabha vice-president Ramesh Bishnoi and others in Abohar.

Inderpal Bishnoi, national president of the All-India Jeev Raksha Bishnoi Sabha, said Lawrence had been tasked with ensuring protection of the animals as per the tenets of the Bishnoi community. Notably, Lawrence has issued a number of death threats to a Bollywood star for killing of two black bucks.
