Chandigarh: Honouring the contribution of South Asian community to the Richmond Hill area of the Queens Borough area, New York City has named a street ‘Little Punjab’ in its honour. The area which has been nicknamed “Little Punjab” is a hub of businesses run by Punjabis and has two gurdwaras. It has now been named Punjab Avenue. A tweet, gone viral, on Wednesday, featured the residents of the area displaying a board that read “Punjab Av”. TNS
