LoP Bajwa seeks CM’s resignation

After the RDX blast at the residence of Punjab Congress leader from Batala Aman Jaitipuria, Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the state Assembly Partap Singh Bajwa on Thursday condemned Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for his alleged failure to maintain law and order.

He also blamed the BJP-led Centre for the situation in the border belt as the Border Security Force exercises its power within the jurisdiction of 50 km of the border, and Batala came under its jurisdiction.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
