On the basis of the mobile number used for making the call, the police identified the key accused as Mukesh Kumar and his aide Vikas Kumar. Both have been arrested.

The two revealed to the police after the boy’s family refused to pay the ransom and informed the police about the kidnapping, they killed the boy on Thursday and threw the body in the Neelon canal on the Chandigarh road.
