Ludhiana court orders bailable warrant against Simarjit Singh Bains

Ludhiana, November 12

A local court has ordered issuance of a bailable arrest warrant against Lok Insaaf Party chief Simarjit Singh Bains, MLA from Atam Nagar constituency, and six others in a rape case registered on the complaint of a 44-year-old woman. The case will come up for hearing on November 18.

The police had filed a chargesheet against MLA Bains recently. The FIR was registered following the orders of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate in July. But none of the accused had been arrested in this so far. — TNS
