Make PCC chief CM face: Amargarh MLA

Chandigarh, September 12
Even as PCC president Navjot Singh Sidhu appears to have brokered peace with Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh at the intervention of the party high command, Amargarh MLA Surjit Singh Dhiman has once again raised rebellious voice, saying the party should make Sidhu the chief ministerial face.
Dhiman has been siding with the rebel ministers — Charanjit Singh Channi, Sukhjinder Randhawa, Tript Rajinder Bajwa and Sukhbinder Sarkaria — on the issue of replacing the Chief Minister. Barring the letter politics over naming of Batala as a district, the rebel ministers have otherwise been lying low for the last few days.
Reiterating his stand, Dhiman said he would not contest the Assembly elections if they were fought under Capt Amarinder Singh. The MLA was also among those who met Punjab Congress incharge Harish Rawat in Dehradun.
