Nearly 24 hours after they started their sit-in outside Cabinet Minister Dr Baljit Kaur’s resident here, AAP leaders and workers ended their protest as party’s Ferozepur Lok Sabha incharge Jashan Brar and Dr Baljit Kaur’s brother Rajpal Singh held a meeting with them.

Several AAP leaders on Sunday had claimed a coterie of leaders, who had hoped over from the Congress and SAD, had hijacked Dr Baljit, raised questions over the party’s functioning and also sought action against the minister’s personal assistant (PA) for “ignoring” the party men.

In the morning, AAP’s Muktsar district president Jagdev Singh suspended three protesting party leaders —Rajiv Uppal (AAP Malout block head), Sahil Monga (secretary, Youth Wing of AAP, Malout) and Gurmel Singh (secretary, Youth Wing of AAP, Malout) — for anti-party activities.

Earlier, during the day, Dr Baljit Kaur said that the party would act against all those who would indulge in anti-party activities. Further, she removed her PA and announced a helpline number for people to lodge their complaints.. —
