In line with the directives of Rural Development & Panchayat Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar, the department suspended the services of Mamdot’s Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO) Sarabjit Singh. Sarabjit was apprehended by the Vigilance Bureau yesterday for accepting bribes from sarpanches.

Asserting the state’s commitment to ensuring corruption-free governance, The Panchayat Minister said the CM Bhagwant Singh Mann-led government would not tolerate any form of corruption, adding that actions against corrupt officials would be taken.
