Amritsar rural police arrested a cross-border trafficker and seized two pistols and fake currency from him here on Saturday evening.

He was identified as German Singh of Joti Shah village in Tarn Taran.

Amritsar Rural SSP Maninder Singh said the police had received an input that German was involved in cross-border smuggling of weapons.

He was intercepted at Gharida here.

The police seized a Glock 9 mm pistol with a magazine, a .30 bore pistol with two magazines and Rs 2.15 lakh in counterfeit currency from him.
