A tragic incident occurred on the Abohar-Fazilka railway section, when a man from Jalalabad fell from a moving train near Ghallu village, resulting in his death. The deceased, 42-year-old Kala Singh, was traveling with his wife, Surjita, and another relative to Bikaner for farm labour work.
Kala Singh, a resident of Dhandi Kadim village, boarded the train at Fazilka earlier in the day. Around 5 pm, as the train approached Ghallu village, he began feeling nauseous. Approaching the window for air, he suddenly became dizzy and fell from the moving train. A passenger immediately pulled the emergency chain, and the train came to a halt. However, by the time his wife and relative reached him, Kala Singh had already passed away.
Assistant SI Bhajan Lal from Abohar Government Railway Police (GRP) promptly reached the scene. With the help of Nar Seva Narayan Seva Samiti volunteers, the body was transported to the mortuary of Abohar Civil Hospital for further proceedings.
