A 32-year-old resident of Kallar Khera village, Ved Prakash, lost his life after the three-wheeler, which he was driving, collided with a buffalo on the Abohar-Srigangangar highway.
The deceased was a vegetable dealer and was going to Srigangangar when his three-wheeler collided with stray cattle, resulting in serious injuries.
He was admitted to Abohar Civil Hospital, but was later shifted to a private hospital in Sriganganagar where he succumbed to his injuries.
In 10 days, three people, including Ved Prakash, have lost their lives due to the stray cattle menace in the Abohar subdivision.
The sarpanch of Kallar Khera village has urged the state government to provide a concrete solution to control the menace in the region.
The district administration has shifted a large number of stray cattle to the government gaushala near Fazilka, but these can still be seen squatting or wandering on most roads here.
