Day after Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and SAD leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal visited the Dera Sachkhand Ballan here, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today visited the dera.

He was accompanied by state AAP president Bhagwant Mann and Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema.

This is the third visit in two days by a key political party leader to the dera ahead of the Assembly elections.

The dera is a prominent spiritual hub of the Ravidassia community and on Friday, Channi had announced a state-of-the-art Guru Ravidas Bani Adhiyan (Research) Centre at Ballan.

Calling on the dera chief, Kejriwal bowed to Sant Niranjan Dass and sat next to him. The dera chief presented Kejriwal with an icon of Guru. All prominent leaders were presented with a ‘siropa’.

Kejriwal said that besides providing spirituality guidance, the dera had played a key role in ensuring communal brotherhood and equality.
